世田谷区の姉妹都市である、オーストラリアのバンバリー市から、小学生の親善訪問を受けました。

海や自然が多い街の魅力や、興味、関心があることなどをお話くださり、お互いの国の歌を披露しました。私たち議員は「上を向いて歩こう」を皆で熱唱。

世田谷の名所を回ったり、ホームステイも経験するそうです。日本を好きになって帰ってほしいと思います。

We received a goodwill visit from elementary school students from Setagaya-ku's sister city, Bunbury, Australia.

They talked about the charm of the city with its many seas and nature, their interests and concerns, and performed songs of each other's country. We council members all sang "Ue wo muite aruko" together.

They will visit famous places in Setagaya and also experience a homestay. I hope they will return home with a fondness for Japan.
