本日は横浜桜木町ワシントンホテルが取り組んでいるSGDsのご紹介です。
当ホテルは2023年6月から使い捨てコンタクトレンズの空ケースの回収を実施しています。
回収されたものはアイシティが行われているecoプロジェクトにお渡ししており、使い捨てコンタクトレンズの空ケースのリサイクルにご協力しています。
今後も継続してまいりますので、皆様のご協力をお願い申し上げます。
「アイシティecoプロジェクト」で行われている3つの社会貢献
≪社会貢献1≫
空ケースの再資源化による環境保全
ゴミとして燃やされず回収された空ケースは、リサイクルを行うことでCO2の削減になり、再資源化された材料は様々な製品に生まれ変わります。
≪社会貢献2≫
障がい者の自立と就労支援
店舗や眼科で回収された空ケースのリサイクル業務を行っています。
また、全国の社会福祉施設で手作りされた小物を買い取り、直接アイシティ店舗でご協力いただいたお客様へお礼としてプレゼントしています。

公益財団法人 日本アイバンク協会への寄付
空ケースをリサイクル業者に買い取っていただいた対価を全額寄付しています。
角膜移植支援などに貢献。

Today I would like to introduce the SGDs that Yokohama Sakuragicho Washington Hotel is working on.
Our hotel has been collecting empty disposable contact lens cases since June 2023.
The collected items will be given to the eco-project conducted by Eye City,
We are cooperating with the recycling of empty disposable contact lens cases.
We will continue this program in the future, so we would like to ask for your cooperation.
Three social contributions made by the "Eye City Eco Project
≪Social Contribution 1≫.
Environmental conservation through recycling of empty cases
Empty cases collected instead of being burned as garbage are recycled to reduce CO2 emissions, and the recycled materials are transformed into a variety of products.
≪Social Contribution 2≫.
Independence and employment support for people with disabilities
We provide recycling services for empty cases collected at stores and ophthalmology departments.
We also buy small items handmade at social welfare facilities across the country and present them directly to customers who cooperate with us at Ai-City stores as a token of our appreciation.
≪Social Contribution 3≫.
Donation to the Eye Bank Association of Japan
We donate the entire amount paid for the purchase of empty cases to a recycling company.
Contributing to corneal transplant support, etc.
