【大寒波の猛威が明けて！ あすなろう鉄道】

大寒波の影響で高速道路が大渋滞した翌日、 市内に降った雪の間を真っ白になった鈴鹿山系をバックにあすなろう鉄道の電車が走って行きます。

あすなろう鉄道は、あすなろう四日市駅から終点の内部駅までの「内部線」と、途中の日永駅から西日野駅までの「八王子線」の2路線を合わせた総営業キロ7㎞のナローゲージ（線路幅が762ｍｍと他鉄道に比べて狭い）路線です。希少なナローゲージ路線は、全国の鉄道ファンからも注目されています。

Following a burst of cold weather and an ensuing traffic jam along the highway, the Asunaro Railway train traversed valiantly through the white winter cityscape against the backdrop of a snow-covered Suzuka mountain range.

Asunaro Railway
📍Iga City, Mie Prefecture Yokkaichi City

The Asunaro Railway is a “narrow-gauge” line whose track width spans a mere 762mm, much narrower than other standard railways. The main railroad, the Utsube Line, starts from Asunaro Yokkaichi Station and finishes at Utsube station, and an additional Hachioji Line extends from the Utsube Line’s Hinaga Station to Nishi-Hino Station. Together the two lines of the Asunaro Railway cover a total distance of 7km, and its rare narrow gauge attracts attention from railroad fans nationwide.
