ナイチンゲールの誕生日にちなみ、5月12日は「看護の日」に制定されています。また、5月12日を含む前後１週間は看護週間とされています。
本院では、5月15日（木）、B棟3階りぶれいく前で記念行事を執り行いました。松永和人病院長から日頃の献身的な看護業務に対する感謝と、今後のさらなる活躍に期待する旨の言葉が贈られました。その後、松永病院長と事務部の足立正博次長から、看護部を代表して藤井聡美看護部長へそれぞれ花束が手渡されました。
各診療科などからも日頃の感謝を込めた色とりどりの花かごが届けられ、会場は多くの花々に囲まれ華やかで、和やかな雰囲気でした。
藤井看護部長からは、開催に対する感謝とともに、職員一人ひとりが看護部の理念を実現するためにどう動くべきかを常に考えて行動していること。これからも患者さんの命・暮らし・尊厳を支える看護に努めていく旨の誓いが述べられました。
展示企画として、各病棟のスタッフが制作した川柳や写真、書道の作品が展示され、優秀賞、最優秀賞を受賞した職員は、松永病院長から表彰されました。
会の冒頭から参加予定のヤマミィが終盤になっても現れず、広い上にただいま工事中の病院内を迷子になって、もしかして泣いているのでは？とヒヤヒヤしたのですが、最後の集合写真になんとか間に合って来てくれたのでホッとしました。
改めて看護の大切さを知る良い会でした。

May 12 has been designated as "Nurses' Day" to honor Florence Nightingale's birthday. Additionally, the week surrounding this date is recognized as Nurses' Week.
At our hospital, a commemorative event was held on May 15 (Thursday). The hospital director expressed gratitude for the dedicated nursing care provided daily and expressed hopes for continued excellence in the field. Following this, the hospital director and the Deputy Director of the Administrative Department presented bouquets to the Director of the Nursing Department. Colorful flower baskets, symbolizing appreciation for their daily efforts, were also delivered from various departments, filling the venue with flowers and creating a lively and friendly atmosphere.
The Director of Nursing expressed gratitude for the event, noting that each staff member constantly thinks about how to uphold the nursing department's philosophy. She emphasized their commitment to providing care that supports patients' lives, dignity, and well-being. As part of the exhibition, haiku, photographs, and calligraphy works created by staff members from each ward were displayed. Hospital Director Matsunaga honored the recipients of the Excellence Award and the Grand Prize.
