現在、配偶者同行休業で、アフリカのルワンダ🇷🇼に滞在されている豊橋市職員の三輪田さんから、お便りが届きました😊 今回は、6歳の娘さんが通うインターナショナルスクール（幼稚園）についてです♪

「娘は、日本では小学校1年生の年齢ですが、９月が新学期となるルワンダでは幼稚園に通っています。学校選びは情報を集め、見学をして決定しました。キガリ市内にはいくつかのインターナショナルスクールがあり、転校も比較的気軽に行われています。

この幼稚園は多国籍な環境で、11か国の子どもたちが学んでおり、日本人も2名在籍。先生も様々な国の出身で、多様性に富んでいます。モンテッソーリ教育を採用し、子どもが自主的に成長できる環境を大切にしています。

言語は英語とフランス語を学び、最初は苦戦していた娘も、半年ほどで先生の問いかけに答えたり、友達と交流できるようになりました。成長する姿に励まされながら、今後も温かく見守っていきたいと思います！」

“My daughter is the age of a first grader in elementary school in Japan, but she is attending kindergarten in Rwanda, where the new school year starts in September. We decided to choose a school after gathering information and making a tour. There are several international schools in Kigali, and changing schools is relatively easy.

This kindergarten is multinational, with children from 11 different countries studying there, including two Japanese students. The teachers also come from a variety of countries, making the school very diverse. Montessori education is used, and they prioritize creating an environment where children can grow independently.

My daughter is learning English and French, and although she struggled at first, now that six months have passed she is able to answer questions from her teachers and interact with her friends. Encouraged by her growth, we will continue to warmly watch over her!”
