豊橋市多文化共生・国際課
豊橋市立磯辺小学校6年生は、「国際交流」をテーマとした学習に取り組んでおり、修学旅行においても、大阪万博を訪れ、豊橋市とパートナーシティであるパネヴェジス市があるリトアニア共和国🇱🇹のパビリオン（バルトパビリオン）を訪問する予定です🤩5/1、その事前学習として、多文化共生・国際課で国際交流を担当している職員が、リトアニアとパネヴェジス市について出前授業を行いました‼️
授業では、駐日リトアニア大使館やパネヴェジス市からご提供いただいた動画や写真などを見せながら、「森と湖の国」と称されるリトアニアの美しい風景や文化遺産、歴史、気候、特産品、料理を始め、豊橋市とパネヴェジス市との交流についてお話し、最後はリトアニア語の挨拶をみんなで練習しました☺️
リトアニア産のリネン製品や、繊細な木工細工の実物にも、子供達に触れてもらいました🌲
磯辺小６年生の皆さん、先生方、最後まで集中して聴いて下さり、ありがとうございました💕
ぜひ万博のバルトパビリオンでは、楽しみながら学びを深め、今後もパネヴェジス市と豊橋市との交流に興味を持ってもらえると嬉しいです✨
This year, the 6th graders of Isobe Elementary School in Toyohashi are studying with the theme of "International Exchange," and are planning to visit the Republic of Lithuania’s Pavilion (at the Baltic Pavilion) at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (one of Toyohashi’s partner cities, Panevezys, is located in Lithuania 🤩 ). On May 1, in line with the school’s theme, the staff member in charge of international exchange at the Multicultural Society and International Affairs Division made a presentation on Lithuania and the city of Panevezys for the students‼️
In the class, the staff member showed videos and photos provided by the Embassy of Lithuania in Japan and the city of Panevezys, and talked about the beautiful scenery, cultural heritage, history, climate, local products, cuisine, and international exchange between Toyohashi and Panevezys in Lithuania, the "country of forests and lakes." They also practiced Lithuanian greetings with the students☺️
The children were also able to touch and feel actual Lithuanian linen products and delicate woodwork 🌲
Thank you to the 6th graders of Isobe Elementary School and their teachers for listening attentively to the end 💕
We hope they enjoy and learn a lot at the Baltic Pavilion at the Expo, and we hope they will continue to be interested in the exchange between the cities of Panevezys and Toyohashi in the future✨
