「彫刻とドローイング」

ただいま開催中のグループ展 「それは、つまり物を以って詩をつくることである II」 におけるトークイベントです。
エドワード・アーリントンは、1980年代初頭より彫刻とドローイングの統合に関心があり、ドローイングによって経験の統一、描かれた「理想的な形」と「現実の」立体物との統一を達成したいという思いがありました。
彫刻家にとって、作品の最終形態である立体ではなく、紙に描くドローイングや、それに準ずるものがどういった意味を持つのかについてトークを展開します。
トークは、Slade School of Fine Artで行われているRound Table Meetingのスタイルに乗っ取り、座談会形式でどなたでも気軽にご参加いただけます。
参加アーティスト：ジョン・キップス、ジュリア・マッキンレー、ローレン・ウィルソン、杉浦 亜由子、中島 裕子、西永 和輝

【Talk Event Announcement】
“Sculpture and drawing” Sat. 29 June, 15:00 - 16:30
This talk event is part of the ongoing group exhibition “Making poetry with solid objects II”.
Edward Allington has been interested in the integration of sculpture and drawing since the early 1980s, with the hope of achieving a unity of experience through drawing, a unity between the drawn “ideal form” and the “real” three-dimensional object.
The talk will focus on the meaning of drawings on paper, or its equivalent, for sculptors, rather than the final form of the work, the three-dimensional object.
The talk will follow the style of the Round Table Meeting held at the Slade School of Fine Art and will be open to everyone in a round-table discussion format.
Participating artists : Jon Kipps, Julia McKinlay, Lauren Wilson, Ayuko Sugiura, Hiroko Nakajima, Kazuki Nishinaga
Moderator : Hayato Fujioka
