Fuchu promotes the development of an environment where all our citizens can become familiar with different kinds of sports, to create a healthy and energetic “Sports Town Fuchu”!
On September 14, a one-hour “YOGA FOR MOMS” was held at Kyodo-no-mori General Gymnasium.
It was a yoga event project that the Fuchu City Hall organized for its citizens to give women who could not continue sports due to changes in their life such as childbirth and childcare as an opportunity to start sports again.
The instructor was Rio Matsumoto, one of Musashi Province Fuchu Ambassadors.
Have you heard about “Musashi Province Fuchu Ambassadors” who promote the charms of Fuchu City inside and outside the city? They were first appointed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the enforcement of the city system in Fuchu.
Rio Matsumoto comes from Fuchu. She went to Elementary School No.6 and Junior High School No. 5 in Fuchu.
As a talented actress, she has steadily built up her fame and broaden her skills, and now she is widely active yoga instructor.

9月14日、府中にある郷土の森総合体育館に、府中市民のママで1時間の「YOGA FOR MOMS」が行われました。
地元府中市民の方々限定で、府中市文化スポーツ部スポーツタウン推進課の皆さまのサポートの元開催致しました。
出産や育児などのライフステージの変化により、スポーツを継続できなかった女性へ再びスポーツを始めるきっかけとなるよう市民の皆様と共に取り組むヨガイベントプロジェクトでした。
講師は武蔵国府中大使の松本莉緒先生でした。
府中大使は、市制施行60周年を記念して創設されました。
府中市出身の松本莉緒さんは、第6小学校と第5中学校のOG
実力派女優として着実に名声と実力を積み重ね、現在は、ヨガインストラクターとしてご活躍されています。
