Every year on May 3rd-5th, as the sky darkens and night approaches in Fuchu, watching and feeling the power of Kurayami Festival of the Okunitama-jinja Shrine is truly one of the Fuchu’s finest moments.
Festivals in Fuchu are a representation of local art and folklore, and they are accompanied by drinks, festivities, and fantastic food, making them one of the most direct connections with traditional Japanese culture, history, and religion.
This year too, we met many foreigners and enjoyed our time guiding them during the event.
