The Diesel Art Gallery in Shibuya recently hosted "People Have The Power," a solo exhibition from May 18 to July 3 by artist Nanae Mitobe 🎨

Mitobe's previous exhibitions titled "Rock is Dead", "War is not Over", "Let's Have a Dream!" and "Sit-In" have focused on rock symbolism and the power of music.

This exhibition is the fifth in Mitobe's popular series of exhibitions featuring a group of works based on rock stars and musicians. This solo exhibition provided visitors the opportunity to think deeply about the power of individual people, the power of the collective, and the role art and music can play in social change.

水戸部氏は、これまでに「Rock is Dead」、「War is not over」、「Let’s Have a Dream!」、「Sit-In」と題した展示を開催し、ロックの象徴や音楽の力に焦点を当てた作品を発表してきました。

本展は、ロックスターやミュージシャンをモチーフとした作品群を展示する水戸部氏の人気シリーズの第5弾となります。個々の人々が持つ力や、集団としての力、アートや音楽が社会変革に果たす役割など、鑑賞者に深い思考を促す機会を与える個展となりました。
