【福山雅治さんゆかりの場所】

芸能人ゆかりの地特集・第3弾。
前回に続き、福山雅治さんゆかりの土地をご紹介いたします
今回ご紹介する場所は、福山雅治さんの「クスノキ」という曲のモチーフとなった「山王神社」でございます。
こちらの神社には、被爆したクスノキと一本柱鳥居がございます。
クスノキは、1945年8月の原子爆弾により倒壊寸前となりました。しかしその後、奇跡的に再び新芽を芽吹き、復興に向かう被爆者らを勇気づけた尊い木です。
目の前で2本のクスノキを見たのですがとても大きく、たくましかったです。
また、7月1日～令和7年12月31日までクスノキラッピングの路面電車が長崎市内を走っていますので是非探してみて下さい。
一本柱鳥居は、被爆の影響で左半分が倒壊しても右半分のみで立派に立ち続けている鳥居です。
近くには、倒壊した鳥居の破片が今も保存されており、原爆の恐ろしさを現代に語り継いでいます。
今回紹介したクスノキと一本柱鳥居は平和・再生のシンボルとして長年親しまれています。皆さまもぜひ足を運んでみてください。

This is the third installment in our series introducing places associated with famous people.
Following on from last time, this time we will introduce places associated with Masaharu Fukuyama.
The location we will introduce this time is the Sanno Shrine, where the camphor tree that inspired Masaharu Fukuyama's song “Kusunoki” stands.
This shrine features a camphor tree and a single torii gate, which have long been cherished as symbols of peace and regeneration.
This camphor tree was nearly destroyed by the atomic bomb in August 1945.
However, it miraculously remained standing and became a symbol of hope for those recovering from the bomb's devastation.
The two Kusunoki trees I saw up close were massive and majestic.
Additionally, from July 1 to December 31, 2025, a streetcar featuring a Kusunoki design will run through Nagasaki City,
so be sure to look for it.
The single-pillar torii gate stands proudly alone, despite the left side being destroyed by the atomic bomb.
Nearby, fragments of the collapsed torii gate are preserved along the roadside,
serving as a memorial to convey the horror of the atomic bomb to future generations.
The camphor trees and single-pillar torii gate introduced here have long been cherished as symbols of peace and regeneration. I hope you will visit and experience their charm firsthand.
