盛岡市の「景観重要建造物」にも指定されている、江戸時代後期から明治時代にかけて建てられた趣のある商家。
一歩足を踏み入れれば、藩政時代の暮らしを垣間見ることができる、歴史的価値の高い建物です。

広い店内には、亀の子たわしや箒、ざる、竹籠といった昔ながらの生活道具がずらり。
どれも使いやすさと温かみを兼ね備えた、日本の手仕事ならではの品ばかりです。
なかでも、今では貴重となった国産竹で編まれた雑貨は、お土産としても人気です。

About a 5-minute walk from Hotel Mazarium, in the historic Konya-cho district, you’ll find a charming shop called Gozaku.
This traditional merchant house, built between the late Edo and Meiji periods, has been designated as a Scenic Building of Importance by Morioka City.
Step inside, and you'll catch a glimpse of life during the feudal era.

The shop is filled with traditional household items such as tawashi scrub brushes, brooms, strainers, and bamboo baskets—each one a product of Japanese craftsmanship, combining practicality and warmth.
Among them, the handwoven items made from domestically grown bamboo—now a rarity—are especially popular as souvenirs.
