出雲大社周辺は、全国でも有数のハウスぶどうの名産地。島根ワイナリーは、良質な地元産のぶどうを活かそうと昭和61年に創設された島根県で最も歴史のあるワイナリーです。

敷地内にはワイン醸造館、ショップ、バーベキューハウス、カフェなど、見どころがいっぱい。無料でワインやグレープドリンクの試飲ができるほか、県内の特産品を取り揃えたお土産コーナーも。
ワイナリー内の「バーベキューハウス シャトー弥山」では、最高級「しまね和牛」をバーベキュースタイルで味わうことができます。

The area around Izumo-taisha is one of the most famous areas in Japan for producing house grapes. Shimane Winery is the oldest winery in Shimane Prefecture, founded in 1986 to take advantage of the high-quality local grapes.

There are many things to see and do on the premises, including a winery, store, barbecue house, and café. Free wine and grape drink tasting is available, and there is also a souvenir corner with a selection of local products from the prefecture.
At the "Barbecue House syato misen" inside the winery, visitors can enjoy the finest ''Shimane Wagyu'' beef in a barbecue-style.
