奈良時代の天平８年（736年）に開創された、鎌倉でも有数の古刹「長谷寺」。
東国を代表する観音信仰の霊蹟として今も多くの信仰を集めています。

境内には数多くの貴重な文化財が多数あり、美しい庭園やほほ笑みに癒される和み地蔵、見晴台からの眺望など、魅力がもりだくさん！

梅雨の時期になると、息をのむほど美しいあじさいが咲き誇り、特に「あじさい路」は、色とりどりのあじさいに囲まれて、まるで絵本の中にいるみたい。

👆雨上がりは、花々がしっとり濡れて、さらに幻想的な雰囲気になるからおすすめですよ。

📚これまで非公開だった図書室「長谷寺文庫」が今年４月から、一般の方も利用できるようになりました！

仏教の経典や美術作品集など、専門的な蔵書は約１万８千冊。
前住職の収集した本をはじめ、檀徒さんや檀家さんから寄贈された本も多いそうです。

・利用時間／午前９時～午後１時
・図書室利用は無料（拝観料別途）
・利用は予約制（３日前までにお申し込みを）
・一度に利用できるのは３名まで

Founded in 736 during the Nara period, Hasedera Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kamakura.

It is still a sacred site of Kannon worship, representing the eastern region, and attracts many believers.

The temple grounds are home to many valuable cultural assets, a beautiful garden, a smiling Jizo statue, and a view from the observation deck, making it a very attractive place!

During the rainy season, the temple is filled with breathtakingly beautiful hydrangeas in full bloom, and the Hydrangea Path is especially full of colorful hydrangeas, making it feel like you're in a storybook.

👆We recommend coming after the rain, when the flowers are moist and the atmosphere becomes even more fantastical.

📚The Hasedera Library, which was previously closed to the public, is now open to the public as of April this year!

The library has a collection of about 18,000 specialized books, including Buddhist scriptures and art collections.

Many of the books are donated by parishioners and temple residents, including those collected by the previous chief priest.

・Library use is free (separate admission fee)
・Reservation required (applications must be made at least 3 days in advance)
・Up to 3 people can use the library at one time
