Don't miss this shrine above the clouds in Hamamatsu🔥⛩️

Akihasan Hongu Akiha Shrine is a sacred site dedicated to protection against fire. Divided into an Upper Shrine near the 866-meter summit of a mountain and a Lower Shrine at the base, it has been worshipped for over 1,300 years.

The Upper Shrine offers sweeping views over Hamamatsu and, on clear days, the Pacific Ocean. You can reach it by car or hike the historic forest trail lined with ancient cedars. Don’t miss the Golden Torii of Happiness.

Also, in December, the shrine hosts the dramatic Akiha Fire Festival, where traditional fire rituals light up the mountain.
