節分前後に櫛田神社では、日本一大きい、高さ約5メートル「お多福面」が登場✨
Around the Festival of Setsubun, Kushida Shrine displays Japan’s largest “Otafuku mask,” standing approximately 5 meters tall✨
It is placed in three directions at the Roumon Gate, Kitashinmon Gate, and Minamishinmon Gate and is said to bring good luck if you pass through their large mouths.
The Great Otafuku Masks will remain on display until February 15th. Please come see it!!
Also, on the day of Great Setsubun Ceremony, Tuesday, February 3rd, from around 10AM to 4PM (approximately every 30 minutes),
the bean-throwing ritual will be performed The ritual of throwing beans is meant to represent the act of throwing out the old year in order to welcome in the new.
