唐風の装束に身を包んだ女性が、凛々しい虎にもたれかかり、共にはるか彼方たを見つめています。
イメージの典拠は明らかではありませんが、柔らかな彩色もあいまってロマンティックな雰囲気が漂っています。
この博多人形の作者は亀田均です。
名人と呼ばれた博多人形師・小島与一の最後の弟子にあたります。

Hakata Doll: Divine Tiger and woman with Ethereal Beauty
Showa to Heisei periods (1926-2019)

A woman clad in Tang-style attire leans against a majestic tiger, both gazing into the distance.
Though the model's source remains unclear, the soft coloring lends it a romantic appearance. The artist is Kameda Hitoshi, the last disciple of Yoichi Kojima, a renowned master of Hakata dolls.

This doll is on display at the exhibition, 'The 37th Annual Exhibition of New Acquisitions: Fukuoka's history and its people's lives' until February 1st, 2026.
