これは、博多織の端切れを繋ぎ合わせて製作したタペストリーです。
昭和42（1967）年に設立した「おびぜん織物株式会社」（後に西村織物株式会社と合併）の2代目社主である、西村英俊氏が製作したものです。

企画展示「第37回新収蔵品展ふくおかの歴史とくらし」は、
2026年2月1日（日）まで、企画展示室1～4で開催中です！

Tapestry（20th century）
A tapestry made by piecing together scraps of Hakata-ori, a silk textile produced primarily in the Hakata region of Fukuoka City.
It was created by Nishimura Hidetoshi, the second-generation president of Obizen Orimono (a textile company) which later merged with Nishimura Orimono.

This item is on display at the exhibition, 'The 37th Annual Exhibition of New Acquisitions: Fukuoka's history and its people's lives' until February 1st, 2026.
