Quiet mornings in Asakusa are such a contrast from the rest of the day ⛩️

Within the precincts of Senso-ji Temple, the symbol of Asakusa, many buildings remind us of Tokyo's history, such as the famous Kaminarimon.

Facing Demboin Street (also called Demboin-dori) is Demboin, a building at Senso-ji Temple. Built in the mid-Edo period, it's designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and its gate is lined with old-fashioned stores.

浅草の象徴とも言える「浅草寺」の境内には、有名な「雷門」をはじめ、東京の歴史を感じられる建物が数多く存在しています。伝法院通りに面し、江戸時代中期に建てられた浅草寺の本坊「伝法院」は国の重要文化財に指定され、門前には昔ながらの商店が立ち並びます。
