Harakado (formerly known as Tokyu Plaza Harajuku) is a new commercial complex that opened in April 2024 at the Jingumae intersection where the Omotesando-dori and Meiji-dori avenues intersect. Its name was derived from the wish that this “kado” (corner in Japanese) will become a hub where people come together to collaborate and share ideas.

Here, there are unique tenants such as long-established public bathhouses and magazine specialty shops, as well as activity centres for top creators and immersive experiences using the latest technology.

Harajuku has been the birthplace of numerous trends, and this new complex will add even more colour to the area.

表参道と明治通りが交差する神宮前交差点に、今年2024年4月にオープンした商業施設・東急プラザ原宿「ハラカド」。その名前は『「かど」が合わさり、人々の出会いの交差点となり、新しい文化を生み出していきたい』という想いから名付けられました。

ハラカドは、老舗銭湯や雑誌専門店などのユニークなテナントから、トップクリエイターの活動拠点や最新技術による没入型の体感コンテンツまでが共存する、新しい形の商業施設です。
