The Western-style building in Kyū-Iwasaki-tei Gardens was built in 1896 and designed by Josiah Conder, the father of modern Japanese architecture. The stunning Jacobean-style decorations throughout the building and the delicate design take visitors back to its time ✨

建物の天井を見上げてみたことはありますか？
少し意識をして天井の造形を見てみると、その建築の魅力を新しく発見できるもしれません。

旧岩崎邸庭園の洋館は、日本近代建築の父と称されるジョサイア・コンドルの設計により、1896年（明治29）年に建てられました。
館内の随所に見事なジャコビアン様式の装飾が施されており、繊細なデザインが、当時の雰囲気を漂わせています✨

今後も、見上げることから都内の建築をご紹介する「If you look up」シリーズをお届けしていきます。ぜひご期待ください。
