The Ome Daruma Market is a winter tradition ⛩
Many stalls along the old Ome Kaido Road, including ones selling Daruma dolls, are bustling with visitors. A lot of them come to pray not only for prosperity in business, but also for success in school and for good luck in life.

At the nearby Sumiyoshi Shrine, old Daruma dolls that have served their purpose will be burned.

青梅の冬の風物詩「青梅だるま市」⛩
旧青梅街道沿いに「だるま」の販売をはじめ多くの露店でにぎわい、商売繁盛のみならず合格祈願や縁結びなど縁起物のだるまを求めて多くの人が訪れます。
近くの住吉神社では、役目を終えた古いだるまのお焚き上げが行われます。
