“Calder: Un effet du japonais”, a solo exhibition by Alexander Calder (1898-1976), was held at Azabudai Hills Gallery from May 30 to September 6, 2024 🎨

The exhibition explored the enduring resonance of the American modernist’s art with Japanese traditions and aesthetics and featured approximately 100 works from the 1920s to the 1970s.
Calder, known as the inventor of the mobile, an air-powered sculpture, continues to gain many fans nearly a century after his death.

2024年5月30日から9月6日まで、アレクサンダー・カルダー(1898-1976)の個展「カルダー：そよぐ、感じる、日本」が麻布台ヒルズギャラリーで開催されました🎨

本展は、アメリカのモダンアートを代表するカルダーの作品と、日本の伝統や美意識との永続的な共鳴をテーマにしており、1920年代から1970年代までの約100点の作品が展示されました。
空気で動く彫刻「モビール」の発明者としても知られるカルダーは、没後半世紀近くが経った今も、多くのファンを魅了し続けています。
